Ready to (re)start

Today, more than 12 millions of French kids and teenagers start their school year. I left school a long time ago but it’s still an opportunity to start a new session of the year. Summer is ending slowly, my last lucky co-workers/clients are coming back from holidays today and we will start the last trimester. However I already started to work here on my blog from mid-august by upgrading WordPress and its multi-language pluggin (by the way, there are still some adjustments to do).

Circulare knitting My 4th book will be released on September 21st

Let me introduce my brand new book to be released on september 21st : Circulare knitting (Tricot circulaire)! It’s my 4th book, but the 1st one that I did by myself. I did my 3 first books with my knit-partner Charlov but I signed Circular knitting by my only name.

The project started end of september 2017 when publisher contacted me to talk about it. I loved the subject: create patterns using circular knitting technics and all advantages of circular needles to reduce or even suppress grafting. I hate grafting so it was the perfect project.

Knit Émilie’s wrap-over top

A few days ago, I share with you my on-going project : the wrap-over top for the bride-to-be named Émilie. I keep going on knitting the top and I’ve just finished the front/back part. The bottom of the top rolls a bit after the ribs but after using the iron, i’s better.

I am starting the sleeves now.

Knit Special order by a bride-to-be

I said it but I had difficulties to keep my word and come back here to feed the blog but I had a opportunity that I couldn’t decline (I’ll talk about it next month!). But I come back and I mean it (you believe me, don’t you?) ! I found some help to update WordPress and to change the language plugin (and that’s why the display of some articles is not ok but I’m working on it). I have a lot to share with you : new tested restaurants, new travels, and of course, some knit projets ! And actually, I’m starting with a knit project!

After 8 or 9 months of hard work, I’m now free and I can choose my own projects. The first one I started right after is a special order. Few months ago, one of my girlfriends asked me to design and knit a cardigan that would match with her wedding dress. The event will take place in Brittany late on August and even if we have a very hot summer, she is so sensitive to the cold that she wanted to have something to warm up if the weather is not hot enough.

The bride-to-be wanted something fuzzy with eylets and super slouchyFor yarn, helped by Natalie from 1001laines.com website, I did some gauges with a range of Drops yarns.
