Restaurant Disappointment at Café Cantante’s


You remember a few months ago I praise a Spanish restaurant with very good paella? Well I went back to

Café Cantante few weeks ago now and if it was my first visit, I would certainly never returned. At first all goes well: a dinner with friends in a restaurant we love. 2 starters are ordered, the two other girls prefer to order a dessert. We tested the 7 tapas’ plate  at 17 € and is not disappointed! Very good things. I ordered croquetas I love and it wasn’t the same as usual, although it was still good. For the main course, we ordered mixed paella and there is drama. The paellas are clearly warmed: cooked in advance and reheated just before serving us. But then, it was not really hot, the rice was dry and overcooked, the edges of the dishes are charred and long ago, there was little in the plates. Frankly, I was disappointed because it was not good and because we are regular customers and they could make an effort. Anyway I don’t suggest you this address anymore…

My smartphone heads & tails

Last November, I told you my misadventures with the operator SFR (here and here). Unfortunately, it did not stop there because I had some very unpleasant surprises at the beginning of January: they deleted all the good options. It was too much for me and instead of calling the customer service, I decided to terminate my contract. I was no more engaged for over a year, so why continue? In 24 hours, my choice was made​​: small benchmark of different operators’ offers and mobiles’ offers.

I decided to subscribe to the offer Divine by Virgin Mobile and ordering the white Desire HTC with Android, which also benefited from a refund offer. And now I’m mobile relaxed. After recording my order, I received the phone and the chip in time. I requested for a number porting and after waiting the withdrawal period passes, the administrative procedures between Virgin Mobile and SFR were made ​​without incident. SFR had confirmed the date and time of porting and I had no extra timeout.

Since late January, I am the proud owner of a smartphone that satisfies me (long live Android!), no surprise about billing so far and the network is the one of Orange which has its advantages and disadvantages (the network is too bad at the office). Virgin Mobile’s perfectly fits with my needs and it cost me only € 29.90 per month with unlimited internet access and with unlimited text messages as well. It’s wonderful, isn’t it?

Having taken full possession of my HTC Desire, as you see I didn’t wait long before customize it with stickers  brought by my Love from Japan (a high thought for this country) to his 2 journeys in Japan, and with a Purikura  we made in February at a shop in Paris.

Vente-privee.com & post office a never ending story

 Am I really unlucky? I’ll believe it ! Why? You probably already know my troubles with the customer service ofvente-privee.com website, well now the messenger is involved.

Episode 1 At the end of March, I received an e-mail informing me that the e-shop gave my package to the carrier La Poste. I followed the path and I estimated that I had received the package March 25. I went back home, look at my mailbox: no package. Well … I looked to the tracking and then, bad news … It told me that my package was delivered while I had no package in my possession and no message! Immediately, I connected to the e-shop and reported the problem.

Episode 2 Few days after, I received a reply from Customer service: You have not received your package CCB but our carrier said that it was delivered in March 25, 2010. I understand your concern and I will give you more information about that. It is possible that another person took your package without warning you. Before opening an investigation and to clarify this inconsistency, I invite you to check with your entourage. If your search is unsuccessful, I thank you for let us know. That evening, I was back home with my man so it is not he who take the package. And my neighbours have no take either. I sent again a message to Customer service to confirm that I did not receive my package and no one else has took it for me!

Episode 3 April 2nd, new reply from vente-privee.com: You have not received your package CCB  and I am sincerely sorry. I will immediately open of a survey of our carrier. This investigation will require less than 21 days after which we will able todecide on the delivery of your package. They will investigate ? Well, ok…

Episode 4 Today April 6, I get e-mail address: Dear Member, I would contact you about the survey opened April 2nd. Our carrier is telling me that your package has 8Gxxxxxxx CCB been carried out March 25. I invite you to confirm that you received the package by email to: SRM_Transport@vente-privee.com If it was not the case we will conduct a new study of your file. No, no no! No, I have not received my package! The worst part about it is that the messenger had already done his job badly with my previous package. He had put the box on my doorstep like that, as if usual. Moreover, he dared mention that he had delivered hand to someone:  I have no guardian and the flat opposite is empty for the moment! I hope they will find a solution, no way I am not satisfied. My package delivered or I am refunded! The following soon, at least I hope!
