Knit Joan’s beannie knitted in English mock rib stitch

At the end of September, a friend of mine asked me to knit a beannie for her little boy borned at the end onf 2017 (for whom I made a baby sleeping bag, a bear coat and a little soft blanket). She chose the colour, but I had carte blanche for design.

The little boy celebrate his 1st anniversary this week and for his beannie, I wanted to knit it with English mock rib stitch. I never knit this stitch before and yet, I love this pattern has ribs are really highlighted thanks to a special relief that I really like. Moreover, this stitch is very stretchy.

Knit My Slushies top from We are knitters

Last July, I left to Kos island to spend few days under the greek sun. These holidays was the opportunity to have some rest and spend time with my family. We enjoyed the beach and to relax myself, and to keep my busy, I took with me a new kit to knit. I’m doing it for few years now and I look like a weirdo among vacationers but I love it!

French road trip Ile d’Oléron

Following step of my french road trip on west cost, I share with you some pictures of my day on Oleron island. It’s the biggest island of Mainland France after Corse with its 30 km height and 8 km width and 8 towns, we would need more than one day to discover all its POI. I would have want rent bikes but all POI we wanted to visit were so apart to do them all in 1 day so we gave up.

We started our visit by North by visiting Chassiron Lighthouse.

Ready to (re)start

Today, more than 12 millions of French kids and teenagers start their school year. I left school a long time ago but it’s still an opportunity to start a new session of the year. Summer is ending slowly, my last lucky co-workers/clients are coming back from holidays today and we will start the last trimester. However I already started to work here on my blog from mid-august by upgrading WordPress and its multi-language pluggin (by the way, there are still some adjustments to do).
